  14. You guys are restarted. you dont have to make recovery media and if you want unity just
    download crouton
    then go to crosh then write shell, Then write sudo sh -e ~/Downloads/crouton -t unity-desktop

  17. Sorry! The best method by far is performing a BIOS FLASH with seabios. (Thanks John Lewis ) I was then able to install a pure unadulterated full install of Ubuntu Studio 16.04-LTS. This is on a Acer C710-2847 Chromebook with 8 gigs of ram and 320gig HD. It's the model with 3 usb ports, VGA-out, Ethernet jack, HDMI--out, combo headphone jack.
