Custom ROMs are usually only attainable by unlocking your device's bootloader and injecting a custom recovery, like ClockworkMod. Unfortunately for AT&T and Verizon Galaxy S4 owners, the bootloader is completely locked down, putting a damper on the modding experience. Here to save the day from the evil carriers' restrictions is a developer named Hashcode, who has created a special custom recovery called Safestrap. Modified to work with locked bootloaders, Safestrap allows us to flash custom ROMs on our Galaxy S4.   15. you can always down grade to 4.2.2or 4.3 then rom the lollipop but you keep the root, i used odin to root att .. have links if anyone is interested

  20. Guys the Boot loader on these phones have AES-256 encryption the galaxy s4 are the first smart phones allowed in the pentagon. So there is some pretty serious encryption on these devices there will no be "unlocking" the bootloader EVER!!! unless the factories stop locking them in the first place or you have a super computer and 4 months of time to unlock it....
