  11. @khalz13 To check your iPod model Settings > General > About > Model Number (8 down) good that and it will say if it's a 1st - 2nd or 3rd gen mines MC008C and it's a 3rd gen. Yes you need to plug your ipod into your laptop and download itunes and make an account to update.
  12. How do I tell what ipod I have cuz my mum bought me one off her freind and on bak just says ipod 32GB (I'm new to ipods :) ) and do I have to have an Itunez acount to update it and do I have to plug my ipod in to my laptop and download itunez????????? Somone awnser plz!

  16. When the download is completed, it says that the connection timed-out, and i have to restart my download again... What shud i do??

Step 1: Get iPod Cord Step 2: Plug iPod cord into iPod Step 3: Plug iPod cord into a USB 2.0 port on your computer Step 4: Open up iTunes Step 5: Click on iPod "named xxx" Step 6: Hit Update Step 7: Unplug and enjoy.. That's why i left it out, it's really straight forward

  19. @baasi911 all my songs, pictures and every thing stayed and yes i updated via iTunes.
  20. Did all ur songs and all the memory erase? Wen u updated it? And did u update from apple ? Or the firmware site or something like tht ?
