A common problem people have is not being able to send outgoing email ,but are receiving incoming emails. If this applies to you first go into the email account you have on your iphone 6. Then click on smtp and make sure this option is turned on. This should solve that common problem of not being able to sent out emails. Another common problem is in the fetch new data section of your email account. In this section if the push option is not turned on thats means its set to fetch. Push should always be turned on since it will constantly check if your receiving emails instantly. You can however put your email account on a time checking schedule such as checking every 15 - 30- hourly time setting. If your having some other common problems such as not receiving any kind of emails on your iphone 6 then you will want to try resetting the network settings. Go to general and scroll down to reset and click reset network settings. If none of these options work or apply to you it will be best to try and reset your entire phone. This is a last resort so make sure you have all your data saved onto itunes or your desktop.

  1. As soon as my 2 year contract is up, I am going back to a cheap, easy FLIP PHONE! To hell with all these gimmicks. They do NOTHING to actually improve our lives — people only believe they do (I have yet to hear anyone say, "How did we ever get by wiithout smartphones?").

Every time there's a new version of a 'smartphone', or a new app, they are filled with bugs. Those bugs never get entirely fixed before the next bug-filled iteration comes along.

These endless problems would be tolerable IF there was a human available. But after spending the last 90+ minutes searching thru 'web based community help', and watching a half a dozen YouTube videos like this one, I still cannot find an answer to my problem (which is the same problem that many others have — but none of the searches provides the correct fix).

Before phones became computers, I used to say this (which applies to 'smartphones' now):

"Computers, I love 'em or I hate 'em."

But with every newfangled phone version, now I'm like, "Smartphones, I hate 'em all!!"

My phone carrier contract is up early next year. I look forward to saying, "Good riddance!" to this frustrating, buggy time sink. Our limited time is too valuable to waste trying to solve these incessant 'smartphone' puzzles.

  9. my i 6 sends email but regularly "drops" it settings re;ate to receiving email.

"check" Password & later it un checks it.  Set port setting and later it changes it.  turn off SLL and later it changes it.

end result is that with out making changes to phone settings - on some days it receives email and other it does not.

meanwhile - other devices synced to same account work with out difficulty

Apple techs fein ignorance of this problem....any ideas?
