Just a quick tutorial to get s/w update mode to flash different stock roms, (This doesn't upgrade the phone on it's own, search xda developers for roms and guides on how to flash a new ROM) 1: Ubattery 2: Put it back in 3: Hold vol- 4: Plug in usb from computer still holding vol- 5: Stop holding when you see the s/w screen (you don't press the power button at any point to turn on)

  1. you have to take the battery out and leave it out for a bit then put it back in.. if you want to get out ofs/w mode. worked for me.

  3. this happened to me because i plugged my phone in last night and uploaded my pix and vids. phone was fine this morning and by the night time when i went to charge it the s/w message came up. i read on it online and then i d/l NVFLASH utility . i looked it up in google. i opened this after it d/led with the phone plugged into the comp and it fixed it automatically!! there is hope. try it i promise it will work
  4. This POS I'm trying to fix won't go into S/W mode just by pressing that button and plugging it in.  What's worse, when the update program makes it reset it refuses to go back into S/W mode, effectively restarting the entire process.

    WHY DO PEOPLE STILL BUY POS LG PHONES?

  6. Man, I got the security error warning. So, normally, I went and installed LG support tool. Then wanted to get S/W upgrade mode, but it still says security error. I already did this, but worked fine back then. I am just asking, do you think it is bricked?

  9. What does this actually do for the phone? Do you do this if your phone gets wet, or is this to upgrade the os?
  10. my LG Optimus 4X HD was under water for 10 sec affter a week i put other battery becouse my battery was dead and when i charge it it is saying S/W Upgrade please wait while upgrading ...  ??? How much time those it take to upgrade because it is upgrading from 2 hours  ..... LOL :X ???? NEED HELP PLS ! :) and 10xs
