ASK QUESTIONS FIRST IF YOU HAVE THEM, GOING IN BLINDFOLDED WILL ONLY CAUSE PROBLEMS This is another segment explaining how to setup and install anything and everything inside Linux(Crouton). This video will show you how to use Heimdall on a Linux PC via the terminal and flash files to a Samsung device. First put phone into download mode and plug in via USB to your PC. **Detect device by type the following into the terminal: sudo heimdall detect **Print PIT by typing the following in the terminal: sudo heimdall print-pit **Flash files by typing the following in the terminal followed by the correct file names: sudo heimdall flash (remember to put the right names and files the correspond correctly. EXAMPLE --- "sudo heimdall flash --APNHLOS NON-HLOS.bin --MODEM modem.bin --RECOVERY recovery.img --BOOT boot.img --ABOOT aboot.mbn" -----THIS IS AN EXAMPLE, DOUBLE CHECK YOU "PRINT-PIT" output first. Your device may restart itself, try and catch it and hold the buttons to go directly back into Download mode if you still need to flash files. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN USING HEIMDALL.
