Windows 10 for Mobile Devices is finally available for selected windows phones that shipped with Windows Phone 8. But after the upgrade to W10M many Lumia 930 owners don't have any audio in video recordings, no sound in audio recordings and when they put a call on speaker then no one can hear them.   2. I had this problem on 2 of my 930s. I, after a lot of research and emailing the engineers, found out it was a hardware problem. I tried to tell everyone on the board, but many were not believing me. One of my 930s had the problem twice. Within 6 months of being repaired. Since then all good. Out of curiosity how many are still using theirs. Windows 10 is now really good. Yes, no apps, and the one's we have are not as well optimised, but the OS is good.

  4. I've done some research too, after properly replacing the 'dead' top mic few times with exact same results. And it turns out that it's actually the software issue after all. There are several different revisions of the phone and it seems that for some this problem occurs with exact same mics not working. And as far as I know saying that testing mode is independent of OS version is wrong, it is supposed to be installed with the whole firmware which is a culprit here. One more thing, if you record the video with loud sounds and then artificially rise the volume of 'silent' channel, you'll find that it actually did record sound, just very very quiet compared to right channel. same with voice records.

    Also, from what I've seen people with other revisions also had recurring issues with display or other things, which does indicate that Microsoft simply failed to properly test the whole range of 930 revisions and perhaps no longer able to provide proper support to fix this problem on software side. So if you happen to still have warranty, the way they seem to fix it - is by simply replacing the phone altogether to 'correct' and tested revision.

After you've done this attatch your Nokia to your device: pc or in my case the SP3. Totday I installed W10 on my Lumia 930. It also installed a major update from 08-11-2016. The Lumia camera is now working when I recorded video's. This wasn't working correct under W8.1. Now it does. However after running the Lumia Phone test I found out the microphones 3 & 4 were not working! So there is a problem!!! What I do find it Microsoft is icnoring this problem which is common know worldwide!!! I'm still very happy with my Lumia 930 and never had any problems except this microphone issue!!! Seems the only way is getting it repaired........... sigh............!!!!   7. i just now after last update [10.0.14393.448] hawe this problem but when I record a video is all fine shazam dosnt work spicer dosnt work on any application normal voice recording isn't working anymore
  8. With the latest 1st aniversery update sound in videos works ,but voice recorder still doesnt work Even though cortana has no problems hearing you,and so can voice search in the all settings draw a bit strange
  9. I have same problem call is okay but no sound if I use whatsApp facebook messenger or Wechat etc.... I already install new package via * Windows device recovery tools * still same... Please help me if anyone can...

  12. Hey Battle(non)sense! I work at Microsoft. I test UWP software on various devices (including the Windows phones). I just wanted to let you know that I found this video to be very helpful and even I wasn't exactly sure of the capabilities of the Lumia Test Application. I'm happy you got your 930 repaired. Out of the phones I've used, I find the 930 to be the most physically solid device, and I'd definitely consider getting one for myself if my own phone kicked the bucket.   18. my phone has the same issues. but it has had them right out of the box with win8.1 version.... will try the test application and see how it works out for me
  19. I had exactly the same problem. I sent it to service and it was hardware problem. Now it works perfectly
  20. Hey, how did you get this repaired in USA? I tried devicesupport website, but it doesnt list phones so that i can register, it lists only xbox, surface and band. My mics 3&4 are not working. So video records only in in right ear. :(
