In this video I cover how to format internal and external hard drives, solid state drives, thumb drives, and SD cards with Disk Utility in Mac OS X 10.11 "El Capitan". I cover all of the drive FORMATS and SCHEMES.

  2. I am having difficulties getting this accomplished I'm wondering if you can help me with this situation? First when I reboot and I get the hard drive on the screen and has a little arrow under it I click both and it just reboot the machine to the sign in window. so that being said I used the back door and just boot up login go to Disk Utility click hard drive then click on the erase Tab and everything is greyed out. what am I doing wrong?
  3. Every time I erase it, it says erase process has failed. The details show Umounting Disk, couldn't open device, operation failed... It's already formatted at MS-DOS, but it only allows me to read only. Can someone help me?

  16. hi i was wondering im trying to use a compact flash card for my camera but i cant acces it trough finder the only way im able to see it is with disk utility how can i fix this wanna be able to drop the frimware for my camera and also view my pictures like a normal sd card do you have any ideas on how to fix this, im ussing a lexar professional 32GB 1066x 160MB/s and a insignia card reader adapter to be able to plug the compact flash to my laptop
  17. Formatting isn't hard. It's partitioning after the format that appears to be impossible now and there aren't any videos to help with that.
  18. Can you teach how to make sound better the drums on Logic? I mean the drummer you add virtual and can change the rhythm and all that. In my songs the drums always sound so fake and I understand why, but If you can do a tutorial of how improve the sound I would be grateful.
