MacBook Pro 2009 blinking question mark MiFix

The folder with the blinking question mark means that your computer doesn't know where is the Mac OS x (operating system). It can be related to different issues, these are the most comun problems that I can think of for now: 1_ Damaged or corrupted internal hard drive 2_ Damaged data cable (Sata Cable) 3_ The Mac OsX system folder can not be found or is unreadable 4_ The storage inside your mac is disconnected If you already tried the below suggestions is most probably that the problem is related to the above 1 or 2 problems. 1.Turn on the Mac whilst holding the ALT (option key), see if your hard disk is recognized at all or if the system is trying to boot from the wrong volume/device. 2. If the above is unsuccessful, power down the system once you have attempted to boot a few times and are sure that the problem is not just a one off freak occurrence. Do not power it back on if it can be avoided.

  6. Hi I've just bought 750 evo SSD and my MacBook Pro mid 2012 won't boot it up from inside, just through USB. The sata cable should be ok because it works well with my old HDD. I install Mac OS sierra through the tool inside the HDD while the SSD is connected through USB. Then I put it inside the mac, removing HDD. It works well until I try to copy some files from any HDD (not backup, just copy and paste). The OS stops working and then, whenever I boot up the SSD (inside), display shows me the ban and I can't get it work. Thank you so much

  8. One suggestion, before putting the replacement cable on, take some electrical tape and adhere to the bottom of the alumi body so that it acts as a cushion/shield. This may prevent further cable issues.

Hey bro just wanted to thank you so much about the step by step information I gt a mac book pro 2009 edition from my brother and files was corrupted I follow your step and found out that the hard drive was mess up from within I am glad gotten a extended hard to save data and used that and replace the hard drive and works great small size but it all works you the best this is my first mac book for school usage in universtiy and save me time from going to the apple store I am bless to find your youtube channel

  15. espero les sirva mi propia opinion. mi macbook pro solo mostraba la pantalla blanca y el sonido de cuando inicia. busque muchos video utoriales y todos decian lo mismo. de resetear las ram excet excet y otros hablaban de la pantalla.que estaba defectuosa. a mi solo me mostraba la pantalla blanca y ninguna tecla de comandos funcionaba . solo la de power.tenia la particiones de recovery y el sistema inserviblen. nada aparecia. el dvd rom con el sistema original tampoco iniciaba nunca. la solucion fue destapar la mac y desconectar el disco duro. y encender la mac. la mac al parecer tiene un recovery que se descarga online. solo debes ingresar la clave wifi despues de haber encendido la mac. y dar a descargar el recovery. pero en este caso . la conclusion mia fue que el disco tenia una especie de error muy grabe y no dejaba que mi mac funcionara. estaba muerte. cambie el disco duro, luego descargue el recovery de internet y te da la opcion de formatear el disco nuevo y descargar el sistema operativo online. solucion
