Microsoft OneNote is a free application available for Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, Android (phones and tablets), and is also accessible online. It's a simple note taking app that competes with the very popular app known as Evernote (which we also have a class on!). In this tutorial, David will walk you through OneNote's features and will offer several tips and tricks as well. 1. Really nice overview of features of this free software/app. There is a lot of potential to link this with Outlook, which is not covered, but this video's focus was addressed well.
  2. This needs to be updated. Several changes have occurred to make onenote better and closer to evernote. The web clipper has changed.
  3. Thank you so much for a great tutorial and the comparisons between evernote and onenote. I use the notebook version in word with my mac and found that it to be a bit more appealing to the eye vs onenote, thoughts?
  4. Love the decor!!
  5. I have been looking for software that can help organize my life, receipts, notes, assignments from work and school and this OneNote thing is overly complicated. EverNote isn't much better and I keep losing all my paper notebooks. This ADHD will be the death of me, I swear.
  6. This tutorial was useless to me because I acquired OneNote to use for notetaking on my iPad which was never mentioned. The positive takeaway is that the app probably is not going to do what I was looking for.
  7. Awesome video for how to use ONENOTE Microsoft Pgm... great organizer for your notes or sharing at work.
  8. Having joined this great community some 3 months ago and storing huge amounts of data, they had the audacity to write and say that they had made an error and lost my material. NEVER EVER AGAIN.
  9. thank you for a really easy tutorial for a lady over 50 who finds this stuff challenging!
  10. One Note was on my laptop when I purchased it. I didn't realize that it was only a trial sample. I made the mistake of using it and when the trial period was over, MS confiscated all of my notes to me (MY intellectual property) without so much as a warning. I can't recommend One Notes because it is owned and manipulated by such a dishonest company. Find some other program for free online. One Note is bait to get you to buy "Office", an heretofore free program But MS, in usual style got greedy and now you have to pay through the nose for MS Office (annually, no less; this is called "renewable cash flow" in business parlance). Truly hate Microsoft as a company; dishonest, controlling and manipulative to the core. And I believe the programmers and data collection company for the Deep State.
  11. OneNote appears different in Linux and than your lesson shows. Could you explain this.
    Thank you
  12. in other words it has no privacy, if you have to upload your private notes to a Microsoft server. Who know who will be searching through your "private" notes?
  13. Very nice training. +1 for Evernote
  14. I find Evernote utterly useless for my purposes... It only allows2-level stacking, which is quite useless... and without that basis... all the other functionalities lose appeal to me, if they are to be lost among thousands and thousands of stacks. yes they offer quick search, but i also need the overwiev of what logically belongs together in smaller and smaller groups... and evernote simply does not allow it. i find it shameful that after many calls by its users for more levels of stacking... they refused to offer this functionality.

will always choose onenote over evernote.
  15. es.bueno Kim
  16. tony stark, is that you?
  17. I didn't appreciate the references to Evernote as this was not touted as a comparison video. I would have also have liked to know if people can access and use the link to a shared notebook if they do NOT have a microsoft account. Overall it was a decent video.
  18. I got interested in the one note and ever note., Person talking giving info "talk too much of unnecessary stuff". He needs to get right to the point of the topic. If he wants public to interest in the note. I started losing interest in the first 1-4 minuets. I was speed forward for couple of times then decide to bag it.
  19. evernote is better and simple, but now i will switch to onenote from evernote.
