In this video, I dive a bit deeper into some power user tips for managing memory on your Surface so that you can get the most out of your device! I show how to quickly close background apps, how to store SkyDrive on your Micro SD card, how to free up 3 GB by copying your recovery partition, and other memory tips and tricks. Feel free to ask questions in the comments section! Also, if you have any other memory tricks, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks for watching. In case you are curious about the memory devices I use in the video, you can get a decent MicroSD card on Amazon: http://amzn.to/1CVN8jy You can also get an inexpensive, but reliable USB flash drive: http://amzn.to/13XwL79 Note: These are my Amazon affiliate links!

  2. I've seen 128gb Micro SD'S, its crazy
  3. Hey Sean! Great video. I am planning to buy a surface pro 4 and debating over the storage size that I should go for. It does affect price deeply so I am thinking of going for a 256 GB model with a 128 GB micro SD card. Based on your usage, how safe do you think it is to leave the SD card attached to the surface pro for everyday use and increase your disc space "permanently" by 128 GB. Please reply! Really need help ASAP!
  4. dude! great video, thanks for explaining the storage capacity and limitation for the surface. thank you.
  5. Sean, hope you could help me in this one..ive watched your videos regarding maximize memory on surface, what i did is that instead of the usb drive i put the recovery  on my external hardrive. Now the problem is that all my files that have been saved on the external hard drive were gone..only the recovery files can be seen. Is there a way that i can view or return my old files from my external hard drives? I would really appreciate youre reply. Thanks.
  6. can you do the same thing but with next book flexx 10 and a micro SD storage card
  7. Hi sean, I learn alot from your video with my new surface pro 3. I wonder is it possible to save the apps to the SD card on sp pro3? thanks!
  8. those micro sd cards also come is 128gb, and micro-sd cards have been aroumd since the early 2000's but they only had like 512mb, but with file sizes being lower back then it would have been decent.
  9. I just bought a 128 gig Sd card for my sp3 just for 40 USD, I think it worth the investment in more space!
I already had 128 plus 128 sd card, now I have 250 gigs.
  10. Please make a Windows 10 version
  11. Thanks a lot sir. Always looking for ways to make this slow thing faster :/
  12. I do not see location in one drive properties. I have windows 10 and all I see is: General, Sharing, Security, Previous Versions, and Customize. Help?
  13. would this work for games and mods and things?
  14. How about putting apps on an SD card now that windows 10 is out?
  15. Thanks for these tips. I just bought a Surface 3 today and want to be sure I don't load it all up with pictures and videos. I'm still not really sure what One Drive is. When I clicked on it, it looks like it wants to sync all my files in it but I'd rather use an external device for backing up and saving files. I put all my important files on an external hard drive.
  16. Awesome Tips. I wish I'd looked for this a year ago
  17. Sean, great video with great advice and instructions.  I don't understand what is in the One Drive folder.  Mine is huge when I check the storage required but there are no files on my C drive.  What is in the folder that I can't see?
  18. i had 60GB available before this vid
  19. Sean you made this very understandable, Thank YOU!
