When the day comes that doing a factory reset of your Moto G is the only way to get it working again here are the button-presses required. This will also work to erase the Moto G if you are going to give it to someone else and you want to clear off all your data and files. This really will permanently delete everything off of the Moto G so be sure you have saved and backed-up your files somewhere else first.   1. this video helped me with my old motorola.....for anyone who has tried the vol up/power button on second screen (in order for menu to appear with dead android) and it did not work, I simply held down the vol down button then simultaneously pressed the vol up button and released both at the same time and my menu appeared! :)

  7. I hate this video.I keep trying the steps you told me to do,and after 10 seconds when it's supposed has to be reseted,I tasks me for my password over and over again,and I forgot mine!!!!!!!!!!

  11. If you get the "No Command" error wth 5.1, Push POWER button for 3 seconds and then just press once the VOL UP button and the options should appear!

  19. I want my pictures an stuff how do I not affect the when I factory reset? Do I click no or yes?
  20. I am able to get to the "fastboot" menu screen (using power and volume down) but after I select the RECOVERY option...I can't get to the android screen at all. I only go back to the Motorola screen. Battery says ok. I've tried several videos and see this same situation in the comments over and over. :( Any help will be greatly appreciated.
