In this tutorial video, I show you how to move all your files, applications, and settings from one Mac to another Mac. This is typically done when people get a new computer.   1. Hi Jake, just a question.. I am about to upgrade my iMac that currently a 3TB drive in it, but I have found that my model has two drive ports, and so I am upgrading to a 1TB (M.2) SSD and a 1TB SSD, so I plan to put my operating system on the M.2 SSD and my documents onto the standard SSD. can I use time machine and migration assistant to do this, even if I do not have any mac software installed onto where I want to put the documents..?
  2. I have some adware that is causing my old mac to malfunction. If i transfer the "user profile" will that adware be transferred to my new mac? thanks
