  3. you can reply all you want. this "kiddo" doesn't feel the urge of talking to people with an ego so fragile they eve seem to be scared of making a complete fool of themselves on youtube. You "sir", have a serious problem. Related to the Münchausen syndrome As said: goodbye.
  4. you know full well that's bullshit. Ever looked at your keyboard and where the "Y", "O", "U" are located ìn comparison to the "H" and the "E"? Typo. Nice try, goodbye.
  5. deleting your comment? Pathetic creature. Here's what happened; see screenshot; h t t p : / / imgur . c o m/DJUO4c8 (remove spaces) Any more questions?
  6. Me?? Tell me: at what point did I ask? It seems someone is in desperate need of visiting an optician...

  8. Hi cloud9backpacker, Sorry, I meant to respond a few months back, but went on travel... and then completely forgot. Many people buy the same disk to make sure there are no problems... or, in our case we bought a box of 50 disks. Now, I normally use Macs, so there is no problem understanding which disk is the internal disk (source disk). I don't know if Ghost or PC can not identify the internal disk... that's the problem.
  9. Yes ghost is a great program for cloning your hard drive the only problem I been hearing about is that it doesn't work with windows 7 it will clone the major part but not the all important partition that stores the vital information to run your hard drive. At least that was the last time I looked into buying ghost and is why I didn't bother for windows 7 may have to take another look. It's very easy to use and works well for xp and earlier windows.
  10. I have norton ghost 15 which i bought and it loads in windows xp, i dont see this screen in your guide, how do you get to your initial screen ?
  11. did this today and physically looked at the HDs to get the model number/code. One was hitatchi and one was seagate, but otherwise they were both the same size. As you say, my destination drive was unformatted so this made it easier. you should still be able to tell by looking at the factory name of the drives though, no?
  12. You've completely glossed over the most important problem with Ghost: how do you know which disk is which in the Ghost display???? If both drives are the same size and both are formatted, the source drive could be #1 or #2 (trust me, I ran Ghost twice, back to back, and verified that the source disk was #1 once, and #2 the 2nd time). People, the ONLY way to be sure that Ghost only dupes from your source disk to your destination disk is to make sure that your destination disk is UNFORMATTED.
  13. mersi
  14. how do i get the program?
  15. this is norton 2003 not norton ghost 15
  16. can i clone to dvd's then onto new hdd. thanks everyone.
  17. A good program but it does have a problem...according to Scott Moulton who's a hard drive expert if sees a bad block of data it can get hung up. There are other programs he recommends that will skip over the bad blocks. he has some videos here on youtube.
  18. @raija3000 Nope..ide only
