  1. I worked for storage companies in the past so it shocked me people use freenas in production .... how common is that?
  2. HGST, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Digital
  3. Contacted Tom at  intelligent memory and was told  they only sell in large scale commercial  OEM 100+ parts sized lots and do not deal with consumer retail.  The module you got was a special  one off order. That does not help most of us in the FreeNAS community since they are not set-up to deal with consumer level purchases of one or two parts. I would have appreciated knowing that it was a special item made custom for you and not available to the general public. Its frustrating when  custom items are featured  that we can't get.

  5. Where is the OS stored? The same drive as cache SSDs?
  6. nice video thought I could not get my eyes off that can on top of the gpu
  7. Do you have to do anything extra in freenas once you add a hba? Do you have to flash it to a different firmware for zfs? Please help.
  8. Please show how to setup ssd cache with zfs in freenas?
  9. Which raid array do you recommend for home nas?
  10. charlatan...
  11. Link to exact ram please.
  12. Need help. Please refer a link to 16 gb dimm of ecc memory that would work in this motherboard.
  13. What ram do you recommend?
  14. Isn't Atom CPU underpowered for this task?
  15. I'm not great with computer hardware(Just a computer programmer), but what kind of motherboard is that? It's smaller than what I have seen.

    Thanks.
  16. Are you at all concerned about users reporting that in Linux and FreeBSD, high intensity read/write workloads cause the Marvell sata controller to reset and elements to any software array are lost? https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/45197/

Also, it was recently found out that Intel Avoton C2000 chips are bricking devices after 18-36 months of use: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/02/06/cisco_intel_decline_to_link_product_warning_to_faulty_chip/
