I tried this but is still not showing it

Do you have to have a certain version of windows? I have an old desk top and my card is a samsung evo 32 gb micro sd card... Do you think this would work? Suddenly one day it was no longer being recognized by my Note 4. It wasn't the Note 4 cause other cards work and there are not physical or visible areas of damage on the card. Please do respond as my summer photos and videos are on there. Thanks.

It didnt work for me at first while I left the card in the slot as I opened disk management. but while leaving the disk management window open I pulled the sd card out and popped it back in and it worked :)

worked great for me! thank you!

I tried it too. The SD card icon doesn't even show up on the disk management window. May be it doesn't work on windows 10, so I looked around and found out a better way to fix this problem. Control panels--> troubleshooting --> device and sound--> hardware and devices. It will find the problem. After updating, it asks you to restart.

I accidentally locked my microsd and i want to format it but it doesn't show up on PC or phone.

this didn't help me but I actually wiped the metal contacts of my SD card with a dry cloth as they seemed a little dirty and that did the trick. Hope that saves someone else.

what if im on a laptop

My SD is recognized in one PC, but in my main PC it's not. And when I go to Disk Manager it freezes and stays blank. I think it's there is some special visualization thing that connects to it.

That was the solution for me, thanks man!

the card showed up on disk management for me but i couldn't access it, what i had to do was right click it and hit change letter and drive paths
so if that happens to anyone else, there's your solution -
Any other suggestions since it didn't work?

Didn't work for me,
One additional step (on Windows 10) is within the Disk Management section, locate the SD card. Right click, change letter and path, select one, and it re-appears !
Thanks, really helpful trigger
