  8. Between Dell and HP, I always thought HP had the best system recovery process. Dell is quite complicated and even though I'm a tech pro, for someone that isn't, it could be quite difficult to completely restore your computer. HP does it all automatically, I love your ease of use. HP is mainly the only brand I will use for my computing needs because I trust them.

  10. I have a question i did a pc recovery to my computer... But after i did it. My hard drive looks full.. why still full if i delete everything. And i did pc system recovery.
  11. I have a dv5000. Windows XP can not open, so I use the first recovery disc according to the instructions: when the list of option appears, I press the R key. Recovery process starts and takes about 30 minutes. It doesn't ask to me to insert the second recovery disc. The recovery process completes (the "Recovery is complete" screen appears). Then I press "Restart" but the computer doesn't begin Windows and the list of option appears again. And so on... Finally Windows doesn't open. What can I do? Formatting the system is the only solution?

  17. What if your PC doesn't have "PC Help & Tools" and the blue screen with the HP logo doesn't appear at the start when it boots up? I get a different black screen with the "Energy Star" logo and a bunch of other mumble jumble. How else can I do a system recovery? (I still have the recovery disks when I first purchased this)

  19. Ok. Glad you were able to get it working.
  20. I had to activate it after doing a recovery, right click computer..properities...then click on change product key..I then entered the COA key and followed the instructions in the change product key wizard.
