  3. My computer is receiving power as the green light is on in the back. When I try and turn on the power, nothing happens. No fans. No nothing. Any ideas as to what the problem is? I tried to hard reset but failed as the light did not briefly cut on like stated in the article on the support page. This is a All In One Hp Pavilion that I had gotten as a Christmas gift and it would not cut on anymore just a Week after I got it delivered. It is a frustrating process as I have looked at countless sites with suggestions and haven't found articles with the specific problem I am experiencing. Please help.

    My cousin gave me a HP disk and I put it in, it didn't work.
    Did it wipe my data anyway? I'm not trying to wipe data. I have the BOOTMGR problem.
  16. I can not get into the desktop. the screen is blue and keep ask to Automatic  repair.
  17. The original hard drive crashed on my system. I have purchased a new replacement exactly as the previous one. I have my recovery cds. I have replaced the hdd and try to install the software but nothing shows on my screen. The system comes on the cd winds up and I can hear the hdd running. I have checked my video cable and monitor on different systems and they work. How do I install my recovery cds if I can't see the screen? Where are my drivers?

  20. I am trying to help a friend get her HP PC to work again. She is elderly and cant do technical things, but understands how to use a computer fairly well. Except to install a real antivirus program and or a anti malware program!!! I have warned her.  She has an HP PC that is like 4years old, The thing is now constantly showing a white screen that says something like  'Page cannot be displayed, proxy server cant be connected', or detected,something like that.  I got it to work great by just turning it off, she leaves it on 24/7 !, then it ran pretty good. Slow but it ran, and she was happy. BUT I downloaded CCcleaner, and it ran faster, BUT then I downloaded and ran 'Malware Bytes', the trial version, and it stopped working again!

    Now all i get is the same 'page cannot be displayed...' I dont know the model /series right now. So dont ask. Sorry. Anyone have any idea what is going on? She doesnt touch settings or anything, hell she wont shut it off because it takes a long time to 'turn on' after shutting it off. So she just leaves it on. BTW,  When I ran the Malware program she had over 4,300 'malware issues !!!  I deleted them...and it went back to not working.  So...I deleted that program and the CCleaner program and it still wont connect to the internet.  Any ideas what I can try next? I dont think she has the recovery CD's or whatever it came with. So i cant delete the hard-drive and start over, I wont be able to install the recovery disks. So...what can I do, other than calling the internet company and bitch to them about it not working.?
