  1. Why is there no RAID 0.5 that writes to both drives but splits the read to both drives? Wouldn't that improve performance and still have redundant backups?
  2. Im confused, I have 2 drives, one 128GB SSD and one 1.5 TB HDD. Would that work with RAID 0?
  3. Damn i thoght in raid o you loos space but you dont i dident know it fuck i should have done this but today you get 3gbs - 1gbs soo i buy a new ssd
  4. would raid 0 be safe with a checksum drive?
  5. HI WHAT SORT OF COURSE DID YOU DO TO GET ALL THIS INFORMATION CAN YOU PLEASE LET US KNOW THANKS
  6. Watching this in 2017 😎 Funny to see the difference from your newer episodes :)
  7. When you do raid 1 can i take my Seagate Barracuda XT 2 TB 7200RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch Internal Bare Drive ST32000641AS

and raid it with my WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD1003FZEX

or do all harddrive have to be same manufacturer and same TB level so identical or not or does it matter ??????
  8. I made a 6 SSD's Raid 1 in my server. Uhoops.
  9. is it possible to set up both for example, have 2 HDD's in Raid 0 then have another 2 in RAID one to act as a backup of the RAID 0 ??? if that makes sense ???
  10. I currently have an MSI GS70 2PE Stealth Pro gaming laptop. I'm finally upgrading and building my own my own gaming computer. I was wondering if it's possible to move one of the SSDs from my laptop to my new desktop? Currently my laptop has 3 SSDs running in Raid 0. I don't know much about the technical side of things, so I was just curious if it was possible to move all my data from the 3 SSDs to 2, and then safely remove the third one without losing any data? (Side note: I currently have all the data from the SSDs backed up to a portable hard drive.) Any help or advice would be very appreciated, thank you!

(Don't know if the following information will help but: )
    Drive: C:
    Free Space: 193.3 GB
    Total Space: 364.8 GB
    File System: NTFS
    Model: Intel Raid 0 Volume
  11. thanks for useful education, you re the boss!
  12. you can make raid 0 with two raid 1. Supa expensive supa fast and supa reliable
  13. love u bro supperb information and nice speech
  14. did you really say RAID is redundant array of inexpensive disk? lol but I stopped watching when I heard that
  15. I have no raid currently, can I setup a raid 0 without wipeout all my data ? Or I need to reinstall everything again?
  16. i have a raid 1 array and i want to delete it. Will i lose any data?
  17. Just a question. Is it possible to set up 3 drives to RAID 1 with 2 smaller drives mirroring onto 1 larger drive (e.g. Two 250 GB drives simultaneously mirroring to a 1TB drive). Hopefully this doesn't sound stupid!
  18. Remember that one time Wonnock failed because linus rain it in raid 0? Well me too :)
  19. Thank you Linus, not only did you help me to fall in love with computers, you helped me to get my Comptia A+ repair certification this year.
  20. how unreliable is it
