  6. If the HDD can not be mounted after the process, try to restart your computer. Restarting solved this problem for me. Cheers!

    I have a Seagate GoFlex 1TB USB HDD with NTFS formatted but last days my iMac doesn't recognize my HDD.I am opening DiscUtility but I can't do anything because all parameters are greyout....any idea? I have a important data on HDD and I want to back all of them...thanks for help
  8. I got stuck at the very first stage. When i right click the drive, the only options i have are:- Help, Open, Unmount, Reveal
    Can someone explain why? Thanks
  9. you guys can also use the disk name instead of that serial number 
    but that the line you wrote in nano will be 

    LABEL:DISK_NAME none ntfs rw 

    not, UUID= serial none ntfs rw
  10. How to revert back if it doesn't work:
     rm /etc/fstab : to remove this file what ever you wrote

    or the other way is, open the file again using nano: 
    command is : nano /etc/fstab 
    now comment out that line you wrote earlier using '#'

    like this : # your line in the file stab
