UPDATE: Some people have had luck with this on their CANON cameras: Here's the link for the Panasonic software: https://eww.pass.panasonic.co.jp/pro-av/support/dload/avccam_recov/agree_e.htm Here's the link for SONY, which is windows only: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-download.pl?upd_id=7184&PASSVAL2=SMB&template_id=1 Unrestorable footage (typical example): - Any footage (*1) deleted using "CARD FORMAT" with AVCCAM equipment. *1: Except for footage recorded in DV mode with AG-HMC80 series , and in SDXC memory card formatted with AG-AF100 series AVCCAM camera recorder. There are cases in which footage cannot be restored even with this software. For proper use, please carefully read the operating instructions of the software prior to use. The Operating instructions are included with the software. The restored card has to be repaired with "AVCCAM restorer" (provided separately) once to be available as an AVCHD compatible card. Please refer to page-8 on the operating instructions for the details and procedure. If you use this software on the computer which is connected to the AG-AF100 series by USB cable, please update AG-AF100 series: Ver 1.14 or higher SD Card File Recovery : Ver 1.1 or higher

I lost some footage when I opened AVCHD files in Quicktime.
Tried to share one clip on youtube, got half way and cancelled the process.
Then I found I had lost all my clips after this.
Grabbed my SD card which had been trashed, this recovered everything.
    THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Suppose i was lucky that it was all filmed on a Panasonic FT2!

  17. Thank you so much!
i got video back, i deleted directly from sd card.
this software is free, working, but takes some time, about 2 hours.
  18. Alright turns out that software did fix it just had to open it differently.  But you should TRY the VCL player if you still haven't got yours fixed yet.  You convert & stream the files into mts files.  Or maybe others will work too?
  19. wow VLC player worked better!  The Panasonic repair made it so I could get everything but the bad file.  Before I could get FCP or QuickTime player to open it.  Now I can but the first file won't play the rest will.  But VLC player fixed it all!
  20. Hey VLC player fixed it!  I would make a couple back ups of the card file first.  I copied it to my hard drive too didn't try fixing it in the card.  Still gonna try this link to Panasonic too.  I figured out my first clip was bad then remembered my camera stopped recording so I just pushed record again and kept going that must have been when the card got corrupt?  anyhow I was able to convert to a MTS file it kept telling me that file already exist want to over write of keep original  file?  I only over wrote the bad file and kept the rest it made a bunch of MTS files they all work!
