  17. I have downloaded this recovery system and as its searching it gets to 90% then stops and says I need root my phone first am I doing something wrong please help.

I upload everything to Google photos however my phone was running low on memory this morning I connected to wifi and saw everything in google photos so I thought it was good to remove from my phone so I deleted all pictures and videos. Sunday I took about 30 pictures and 1 video that I really want back and for some reason they were not uploaded to google photos yet :-( even tho they appeared to be. I have taken 1 new picture.
