  2. When I download the Hiren's BootCD 13.1, will I need to copy the downloaded info to create my own CD / or can I place the info on a Flash Drive / and how do I get the info off of the Flash Drive to use it in my computer ?  Do I simply click Open File, Play, etc....
  3. I have a HP computer & my Niece brought me her's, it is a Compaq. I have the installation disk for mine, can I use mine to install the system over to hers since they have the same ? I know HP & Compaq merged, both computers look like each other, just different names on them, also if I download the Hiren boot CD, can I put it on a CD & use it on her's since it is dead to recover the product code?

  5. Would this method work if windows vista isnt installed? My Toshiba laptop crashed and no disks , I lost my key to reinstall since I'm not the original user got it from a rental place a few years ago. The key I do have comes up as invalid even when I change hardrive's. Please help.

  10. i change my mother board and now its asking me to put in my window key i tried to do that its not working, and i think my computer is going to lock me out soon.. pleaseee help
  11. im currently downloading sp3 from microsoft cause when the install is almost complete it says insert sp3 xp home.... which i dont have any cd's at all.... sorry for the story but if you get back to me would be much appreaciated
  12. hiya i recently boought a very old compaw presario 700 with win xp home 2002 ... its got the bare mininum specs 128 mb ram and a 18gb hdd... any way it was slow so i decided to install a copy of sp3 win pro ... but some how shell32.dll is missing and a bunch of overs....so it gets to the install part then fails it shows a log file then reboots over and over..... ive tryd ubuntu fedora yet to my knowledge that it wouldnt work cause of the specs will this cd get me any where....

  14. @emaildizzy The program he said to download is in the description of the video with a direct link to the download site. What you want to do is make a bootable CD, so write the file to a CD, put the CD in the drive and boot from it. Follow the steps in the video and you will have your XP key. After that, all you need to do is install XP on the desired computer and use the XP key during the process of installation. @Britec09 Thanks for the video. It's exactly what I needed!
  15. can't hear what program he said to down load? then do i burn it on to a cd? then do i put the hard drive with the serial on i want into my spare pc? as a another hard drive, its not clear in the slightest? he needs to re do this as its very very bad and not clear on what to do?

  17. Wasn't it said that there would be a windows 7 video? Or is it roughly the same process. I cannot seem to figure out if this boot CD will work with windows 7 64 bit.
  18. Hey, I have a pretty big problem. My dad got a laptop a lil while ago and the CD they used to install Windows 7 With they gave to him. It came with three copies and I used one of them then Re-Formatted that computer and used the same Windows 7 and Code that came with it. So all 3 keys were used up. Is there anyway that I could disable one of them and use it on a new computer that I have?
  19. @CareyHolzman Yeah its ok, got loads of spare XP keys...dont really use them much now days.
  20. So you realize you just showed everyone your product key? So they can install XP Home with your product key now. Perhaps you should have blurred that out?
