After getting the "folder with flashing question mark", I replaced my defective hard drive and was able to use Time Capsule to get back some of the original drive -- except for the last two years. My plan is to put the defective drive in a bay, attach it to the Macbook 7,1 (mid 2010) and recover as many files as possible. However, I am unable to get the drive to mount. Would DR3 be able to help? Thanks.
  2. Dont make sense to me why would you need this tool if your computer is up and running? My computer wont start so I need to retrieve data from the drive to reinstall OSX. but this tool only work on computers that are functioning which wont help me.
