Recovering Windows password using any Linux live CD

**this video is only for educational purposes** What can you do when you lost your windows password? Re-installing windows? of course not..... There are some methods that we can use to recover our password. In the method I'm going to use here, you need to have only a Linux live CD. If you don't have a CD drive then make a live USB using an ISO image of a Linux live CD. following links will help you if you are familiar nothing about Linux but windows..   1. There are many components to resetting a password. One place I found which successfully combines these is the Secret Password Wizard (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the best course that I've seen. Check out this great resource.

  6. Thanks for sharing it is one of the easiest methods I have seen. I tried it with an older linux mint live cd and it worked like a charm.
  7. Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else is searching for forgotten password windows try Megarno Password Magician (just google it ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my buddy got cool success with it.

  14. Thank you very much. I was trying to find a way for this to happen, the scary part is that i did this in a matter of seconds with Kali Linux (I dont use fedora). Now my question is how do you prevent this on windows? Im starting to think my ubuntu is the safest OS to use.

  18. If you have a cd rom with it, just boot computer with a linux CD(eg: ubuntu) and you can access all the files in hard drive. Then copy the files to a usb pen or anywhere you like...
  19. I have lost password on old PC running Windows NT (forget which version). When I boot up it asks for domain/password and I cannot do anything. I can't enter Windows at all. Stuck at the password dialog. What to do in this situation? Perhaps booting a Linux Live CD?... I just want to recover some files from the NT computer.
