  1. make a vid how to get it in flash drive - usb, because for me it doesn't work.
  2. will i lose my data??
  3. Does this work with Windows Ten local accounts as well? (Obviously this doesn't work when using your Microsoft credentials. It must be a LOCAL ACCOUNT, NOT MICROSOFT ACCOUNT). If your having issues, that's probably your problem. This worked like a charm for me.
  4. I've been researching into password recovery techniques and found a great resource at Secret Password Wizard (check it out on google)
  5. Thanks. Works like a charm
  6. so if im using a usb instead of a cd, what do I put in place of,     cd /mnt/
  7. Some rather important information you didn't cover is how to boot a UEFI system from an external device such as a CD / DVD / USB. I haven't looked at the newest version of SystemRescueCD to see if it's possible to boot it directly in UEFI mode. I believe it is based on gentoo Linux which may not provide a UEFI boot option.

They have a reason for calling UEFI a "secure boot" BIOS. If you have a system you're locked out of you won't be able to change the boot options (through Windows) so the machine won't even try to boot from an external device most likely, unless the default boot order was changed.

UEFI BIOS is not standardized among computer manufacturers. Some may provide a "hot key" sequence to alter the UEFI configuration at boot time, but unless that is the case and some other similar mechanism is provided by the computer manufacturer to change boot devices and their order, your only solution is to remove the hard disk from the system and put it in another computer and boot that.
