You will be glad you did if you are like me and had a HOT, Slow, Laggy phone. After flashing, it's SMOOTH, Cool, and FAST! If you are having issues with it not finishing around 51% and you are outside the US, see the XDA Forums link below and use the HotSpot Shield VPN to get around that limitation. Be sure to backup your device before this procedure as it will WIPE your phone and put it back to Factory Default condition. Smart Switch is not able to do a FULL backup of all of your App Data, so you will need to find another method for that.   2. Mine downloaded and then gave me an error at the beginning of the installation process. I got it to work by just restarting the whole process. Restoring to a backup now. I rebooted once and it look at lot longer than usual.. Hopefully all will work out.

  5. When it tries to install firmware it gets till 85% and then says "Failed to update software due to an error." and then it prompts me to enter recovery code which I have no idea where to find it. Any suggestion?

    This can be due to a USB Cable or USB Port conflict. Can you try using another cable, or USB port. If those don't work, please try another PC. Many people have fix this problem trying those. You can also try placing your phone into Download Mode and see if it will finish that way. You will need your Serial Number and IMEI Number to use that method.

  12. Ive got a sorta odd issue that may not be all that odd. Friend busted his S4 to pieces. Phone is on but no touch screen (even connected via HDMI) and no display on the phone screen itself (does display over HDMI) He bought a new phone be really needs his contacts,call log and messages. I managed to save all that with SmartSwitch using the backup feature. But my question is am I able to restore the stuff backed up from the s4, directly to the s6 via this? Only have his busted s4 in front of me. Wont be able to get ahold of his s6 till monday.

  16. hi there, i used to have issue with kies when i backup my s5 which had android 5.0 to 6.0 the restore process fail it says different device or build anyway my question is there any problem if the backup is made on different version than the one who will be restored for exemple backup done on 5.0 and restore on 6.0 or nougat?

  17. i have two doubts. One: If i do this right now, will install the 7.0 Nougat? assuming that is a S7Edge 935F Unlocked. Two: Smart Switch says: Samsug Galaxy S7 Edge does not Support initializing. Anyone?
