  1. Can the user raid 0 the hard disk when there is program installed ?
  2. My imac g4 running Mac OS 10.4.11 won't add a drive when dragging and dropping Can you help??.
  3. Hey iBotz,  I just did this with 2 500gb samsung 850 EVO that each have about a 369 speed and after creating a Raid 0 it only reads&writes at 380.  What am i doing wrong?  I'm on an 8 core Mac Pro.   Pleeeeeeease help!  I've been trouble shooting this for the last 2 days.  Many thanks, Max.
  4. So if I do a raid 0 on my Macbook pro would it be okay say if I forgot my external one day or something a long the lines of that? Since I want to be able to run programs from my external and that is pretty much it since I have one that is sitting around doing nothing at the moment.
  5. I set up a mirrored RAID config and it worked for awhile, but when I checked disk utility it said one of the slices "failed" ? I used two external USB 3.0 speed hard drives in the mirrored RAID config. One of the eternal HDD or RAID slice was 1terabyte in size and the other slice was 500gigabytes. I wan to try a RAID stripped or 0 for two external USB 3.0 SSD's. I currently have my ML OSX installed on an external SSD via USB 3.0 and I get 160Mb/s write, and 200Mb/s read.
  6. If after you did this would it work in windows
  7. just make sure you have your OS installed onto the SSD, and have your useless and somewhat big files on your other hard drive. That simple. You wouldn't need any RAID setup for what you are trying to accomplish.
  8. in my macbook pro, i have a 128GB SSD and a 720GB Hdd. how can i do it so that the SSD will load the O.S and the programs like M.S Office, and Itunes and Imovie Etc, but will store the data on the 750GB hard drive. so that the music will be stored on the Hdd, but itunes will be on the SSD. is that posible to do that? also, please let me know if this question is unclear, because i will rephrase it if so.

  10. @danyalb3 I did not use a RAID Card. It is done only within the OS
  11. did you use any raid cards and if so which one?

  13. @harborskoolmaniac I'm not sure. I would think it would simply cancel the process.
  14. What happens if you cancel raid while the partitions are going online?
  15. @djapse yes you have to do it when install the OS though.
  16. can you include your bootup disk in your raid?
  17. @karthik11512 ? is that a question?
  18. @iBotzProductions You back up
  19. I wouldn't even if you could because if one of the drives failed, your screwed.
  20. is there a way i can raid my internal hard drive? (startup volume)
