Here's a video demonstrating setting up Eclipse for Android development in Ubuntu. Ubuntu 13.04 was used in this example. There are always other ways to do this, but this is the method that has always worked for me.

  4. When you have to press install multiple times it is because there are multiple licence agreements for different packages and you aren't accepting all of them originally.

  8. First off - great wee video and thanks for sharing....I am currently running eclipse in Win7 and I need to buy a new PC ...the AVD takes 9 minutes to load...I am thinking ubuntu and a fancy motherboard, new RAM, crappy old hard drive on an old tower....am I insane?
  9. +Jay LaCroix Hiiii, Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. I got an answer for "Why you have to install packages in 3 time.?" and answer is "There are 3 licence and agreement group, and you have to accept all licence at once. by mistakenly you were accepting 1 licence agreement at once."..once again thanks for the nice tutorial.!!
