  13. This is not really helpful Julie. About twice per month, Skype on a new Windows 8+ notebook needs me to run %appdata%\skype and rename the Skype file and reboot my machine. This ridiculous hack normally works to get the buggy Microsoft program working again. But today it didn't work. I am logged in but nothing comes in our out and, of course, my contact list will only slowly recover over 48 hours. No chat history more than 30 days old will survive as usual. I have never seen understandable advice on that or most problems with Skype. Microsoft support is miserable. They don't even pay attention to their own forum.

    Do I have to completely reinstall everything in this case (where the Skype file rename didn't work)? I have Skype running on my Smartphone so I don't want to do anything rash on my notebook if, maybe, the notebook implementation starts working soon.

    Also, why doesn't LinkedIn buy Viber? Why does Microsoft have a monopoly on VOIP being attached to a commonly used social media platform? (Google Chat is a joke)

    I suspect that someone used my Skype account and called from my Skype.
    Do you know how I can see my call history, I mean the phone numbers that have been called.

  18. Julie, I was wondering if there was a way to download or copy a Skype conversion. A colleague of mine needs to copy a thread of conversations with a client to add to the client folder. Do you have a tutorial on this?

    i haven't seen someone online and i don't know if he blocked me..
    i can only see that he has the "last time seen" info.
