The full episode of VICE on HBO's 'State of Surveillance' is available to stream for free on VICE News. When NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden leaked details of massive government surveillance programs in 2013, he ignited a raging debate over digital privacy and security. That debate came to a head this year, when Apple refused an FBI court order to access the iPhone of alleged San Bernardino Terrorist Syed Farook. Meanwhile, journalists and activists are under increasing attack from foreign agents. To find out the government's real capabilities, and whether any of us can truly protect our sensitive information, VICE founder Shane Smith heads to Moscow to meet the man who started the conversation, Edward Snowden. 1. VICE, this is why I'm subbed to your shit, and not some hipster ass fucking shit content
  2. This shit is fucking scarry ,but it is a good way to make money.
  3. Why does any of this matter? Today's evil is tomorrows good. The times will move forward regardless if someone wants to play righteous hero. This stops nothing. Government is watching your phone records and all personal data. What troubles me out of all that is how many people have a problem with that. What kind of things are people doing to be so scared of this? If you don't have malice intentions and you don't have a fucked up personal life why should we care? Government watches me and they will be as fucking bored as I am right now. Keep your personal stuff strictly to yourself if its such a secret. Want to see someone's life exposed its called Facebook and they do that willingly. I would have a problem when they start microchiping us but looking at personal data that is put out willingly (read the fine print of what you agreed to) holds no issue for me. This guy has a movie glamourising his stunt and that's his pinnacle all to put out information that most people should already have a clue about.
  4. WHY IS HE IN RUSSIA
  5. Apple should come out with a special model .. cheaper in price from the lack of features.. and throw the aux feature in with some headphones like the man had said.
  6. land of the free? lol. what a joke!

  9. UK Prime Minister Theresa May is preparing to "flip that switch" right now on the back of the terrorist attack at the Houses of Parliament. Having embraced a news story of sufficient magnitude to "bury" the breaking news revealed by a whistleblower that the Met Police have themselves been using hackers based in India to spy on the communications of Greenpeace and other legal and legitimate UK activists - for years. The UK government, already having a civil rights violating law breaking police service at their disposal, wants the encryption codes for WhatsApp, iPhone and other messaging apps as part of their latest anti-terrorism strategy. Get ready for the police state
  10. Your data are safe. Backed up constantly. Sincerely, NSA.
  11. Monitoring the BLM protestors and not terrorist. Good job Merica.

  14. Congratulations Mr Snowden to open people eayes and showing truth to the world
  15. fucking americans
  16. snowden wants to live in utopia. there are no options for intelligence other than spying
  17. The CIA and NSA could not care less about preventing terrorist attacks. Their goal is to keep tabs on people and understand them through their communication and Internet habits for the purposes of political subversion (i.e., PSYOP). The CIA has been doing the same thing overseas for decades and now it's happening to the American people.
  18. As long as enough people can be frightened, then all people can be ruled. That is how it works in a democratic system and mass fear becomes the ticket to destroy rights across the board.
    - James Bovard
  19. anddddd guest who became the president
  20. Welp, now we're all on the CIA & NSA watch list for watching this video. Thanks Vice!
