  1. Very detail! Really helped. Thanks for your efforts !
  2. Thank you for taking your own time to make such a detailed and helpful video. Just what I was looking for, as I want to have my office and home office NAS sync automatically. One question. I use Box. I would like the NAS to sync to it, but only to upload. I don't want changes in Box to effect the content on the NAS to be changed. Is that possible?
  3. Hi , Can I use 2 dropbox account two-way on synology NAS?
  4. Excellent tutorial. Is there a way I could sync between my DS212 and WD MyCloud?
  5. Excellent tutorial - really helped. Thank you.
Just one VERY IMPORTANT thing to understand that you didn't hilite - (unless I fell asleep sometime :-)- is running out of space when using cloud sync first time - see this official post on the Synology forum - https://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=101249 - I fell into this trap and ran out of space when syncing 1.8T on 4T of drive space!
  6. That's really helpful, thank you :) Questions if I may.....If I have a single back up task that runs once a week and I'm not using the versioning features, I assume it's clever enough to recognise if a file has been updated since the last back up cycle and then replace it with the new version in back up (leaving other files in the back up unchanged)? Also, if I intentionally delete a file from my directory as it's no longer needed, does the back up process automatically delete the file in the back up next time it runs? Or would I have to do that manually myself?
  7. Great tutorial, helped me get started when I replaced my old and dying HP NAS with a Synology. I'm quite capable of reading the manual but would much rather have someone show me.

Just for information. When you're talking about installing the Synology software on your PC and you do this from within the synology desktop, you then advise that for other systems you can go to the Synology webpage and download the correct OS version.

I'm a Mac user and the Synology desktop is smart enough to recognise I'm using MacOS and offer the correct OS specific versions of the software in the desktop. I would expect it to be the same for Linux but this would need confirming by a Linux user.
  8. Thanks a lot for such a huge useful information and taking the time to make it and share it to help. I am new at Synology and this video is exactly what I was looking for, it's the best one among all to explain the different Clouds and Backups! You saved my date! Greetings from Spain!
  9. Definitely cleared up some of the different syncing and backup solutions. Thanks for taking the time to make and share the video.
  10. Thank you , you save me
  11. Ohhh why is the upload so slow.. I'm getting 19MB
  12. I set up and learn some shit for over 1 hr 15...#niccce
  13. Thank you of making this video. It's really useful!
  14. Very helpful. Thanks.
  15. great video, informative, but FAAAK.. talk a little faster! it was painful trying to get through the whole thing. I wanted to skip ahead, but I didn't want to miss anything.
  16. Finally someone explain it !! Thanks you Sir. I've been looking for a clear and hands on video for months, now I get it.
  17. Great tutorial, thanks a lot!
  18. thanks for the video Nuclei. I want to keep a copy of my NAS folder on my home pc and have it automatically sync that folder with the one at the office that way I wont have to log in through quickconnect, download, modify, then manually upload through the browser to replace the previous version of the file. Basically what dropbox and google drive do. Is it possible using cloud station drive or some other synology software?
  19. If you record video and expect people to watch. Use a mic ! I can hardly hear you !
  20. can you use hyper backup and connect to for remote NAS backup? I only saw an ip address and I do not know how the remote export process works.
