Basic walkthrough of restoring a sick AppleTV. AppleTV does not come with a cable to connect to your PC, but it uses a basic micro-usb. I used an old Blackberry cable that worked fine. I did run into issues with iTunes on Windows 7 recognizing, so I connected to a MacBook. Also, I was not able to download the update while over wifi, so I had to connect directly to my router. This is for education purposes

  2. I'm an Apple user, off bat , but something is different about this atv4 , It just doesn't feel like an Apple product- but I don't know why? If someone has an idea of why that is . cause the feeling is genuine- it's real- it's not something without foundation cause it's grounded in reality. I know everyone's reality is different but after iPod touch 1 3 5/Mac mini 2012 15/ iPad 1 air1 pro1, airport ex 5 atv1 2 and now 4— this THING is just not right and that's all I can say
  3. I have successfully restored my appletv with itunes, but the 'appletv connecting to itunes logo' keep showing up on the TV screen even after the restore. what should I do?

  10. Hi Jon. I have problemas with the apple tv. When I reinitiate it, I only have 2 options, computers and settings. That's when I need to restore it?

  16. So the white cord that AppleTV comes with is NOT the cord to connect the unit to your Mac or PC? Great. At least it explains why the cord didn't fit in the back of the Apple TV.

    Then there would be no need for a cable or to hook up to a computer to restore the unit.
