If you ever wanted to clone a working windows installation for use on a new pc, you can do it with Acronis Universal Restore Plus Pack. This video however is not about that. If you were to clone a single disk windows installation onto a Raid array, (a stripe in this video) you will find windows will crash with a blue screen. However using the same technology you can use the universal restore feature to restore your windows image from a single disk, to a raid array, (a stripe in this video). In this way windows will restore with default windows drivers, the type that windows starts with when you do a fresh installation. This makes for a great way to migrate to a new PC or to change your windows drive into a blazing fast stripe set Raid Zero. I am on twitter now. I don't log in or check it, I just post cool stuff there for you to check out. http://twitter.com/#!/duhmez All music used is copyright Kevin Macleod from incompetech.com and is used with permission royalty free under the creative commons license.

I thought it was suppose to make an exact copy... guess not huh..

Yea It works fine hdd raid but you need that plus pack any ways in my case I was trying to solve an hdd issue but it ain't work each ways possible I used a syba pci controller for raid but I might upgrade to ssd to solve the hdd issue and use the Acronis home 12 and plus pack!! The hdd problem was caused by those jailbreaks for iPods nd iPhones.

Yes I will clone it raid hdds then clone back again into the hdd I will get back to you with an update at some points thanks for the advice great Job on the vid I added you!

I want to do restore from a back up to a new raid controller hdd it's the pex40008 can this be done it mentions something about the drivers need to be on USB but I did not get that. This is for two hdd being back up externally to an hdd then performing raid 0 "striped" I believe and restoring the two standalone hdd back ups with new raid 0 config?

Is it simpler with plus 2012

@duhmez I usually just find the save files and back those up just in the interest of saving space, but duely noted sir I didn't realize you could copy/paste the entire game folder. I thought you had to do the backup feature right through steam.
-
I may end up having to do this myself in the future. I use the SSD just for OS and games though. Everything else is on a mechanical HD. Usually just uninstall games to make room for new on the SSD. The possible performance increase is tempting though. Thanks for showing!

lol is it for backing up your important files?
