    I had a question regarding the WD My Cloud. I myself am a movie enthusiast and prefer to purchase all of my movies as video files and store them on my external hard drive. I was wondering if the following setting would work with WD My Cloud.

    If I would connect WD My Cloud -> to my Router, would I be able to airplay the movies off the WD My Cloud onto my Apple TV? At the moment I use my external HDD with USB to airplay from my Macbook to my Apple TV via Airplay. So yea is the above question possible, is the NAS WD My Cloud able to process and compress and deliver the image in HD, 1080P, 4K images which would go through my MB ?

    Looking forward for anybodies reply, because I havent found anything on this topic.
  3. I have WD MYcloud 4TB. is there is anyway i can install torrent client to it. so i dont need to keep my pc on to download torrent ?

  8. These have got to be the WORST NAS ever created. If not, then I shudder to think of what others might be like.

    Extremely slow transfer speeds, Mindbogglingly slow web-UI, random disconnects, etc. TERRIBLE!

Im having a bit of a problem with the mirror, i set the raid to JBOD as i want 2 seperate disks, in my dashboard it says the total amount of free space, i mapped the network drive with the letter x. but that drive is only 2Tb, so how can i map and acces the other drive, or does the other drive becomes visible after the first is full?
  10. I own the 4tb mycloud and transfered all my movies and stream from any tv on my network or my smartphone even when not home and doesn't buffer at all..wd earned my respect on this one.

  14. Yeah! It is beautiful and powerful.. except the fact that this fu##ing device has deleted everything I had stored 2 days before!!
  15. I've just bought one of these, replacing one of my USB 3 drives with half the storage, was approaching full. Interesting that it also provides DLNA that's gonna be pretty useful. Is the drive inside this replaceable? or does it have some soldered on controller of some sort?
  16. This thing dies... Before buying one.  Look up issues. MY issue stuck on white LED for no reason... Tried EVERYTHING 20+ GB of just Photos lost... No Backup..

  19. He's a nice guy and everything, and I'm not trying to be racist but it is a little uncomfortable for me to understand properly. In some parts of the video I had to really make an effort to actually comprehend him. I mean he does speak english very well but it just takes more effort on the part of the viewer.
