*SHOW MORE FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION* *Like for a properly edited video with an awesome intro! :D* In this video I show you how to get into your Mac and reset the password if you have forgotten it. Sorry about the popping of the sound. I have yet to perfect my microphone holding style :S ***The keys you hold when powering on are: COMMAND (Apple Key) and S. Keep holding them when you hear the tone until the text appears on the screen*** 1) Please only do this on your own machine! No hacking! 2) This will not work if you have your Open Firmware Password /Disabled/ (this is the default anyway) 3) If you are on a Hackintosh, use the -s boot flag; holding command and s will not work! 4) On VMware make sure you have clicked into the VM first as the snapshot manager is not useful :P 5) Do this /as soon/ as you hear the boot chime on a real Mac The commands to run in Single User Mode are: /sbin/fsck -fy /sbin/mount -uw / rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone reboot Have fun! If you need any more help feel free to post a commend below :)

I have a differente problem. I can access to Single User Mode, but apparently can´t mount the root filesystem. Any command (ls, cd, rm) is working. Actually, when I mount the filesystem it doesnt echo anything. Any idea about this?
