This video shows you how to reset a password in ubuntu without knowing any system passwords this can theoretically be used to break into a computer please only do this on your own computer. The command at 1:28 is "passwd galatic" without quotes just replace galatic with your username (case sensitive)

  5. Hey stupid, I don't have options on mine, and also can't reboot becuase asking me for password before it shuts down or reboots. C'mon you can do better than this.

  9. it does work, just follow these steps, but you need to find out how to get into the 'safe mode'
  10. This probably won't work with newer versions of ubuntu which have hard disk encryption by default.
