Using ubuntu live cd to recover windows files when windows won't boot! Sorry for the shotty video, just made this really quick for a family member.

1. Theres no such recovery, youll need to reinstall the os again.

4. do you also know how to reinstal 12.04 from an update I accidentally did for 14.04
   and keep my files. with live cd it says no install
5. When I log into my hard drive named "82 GB Filesystem". There is only one file labeled “SSRD.Log" and when I click on it all It does is show a bunch of text. What do I do?

7. You probably have a corrupt/failed Hard Drive. The only way to get the data would be to have it professionally restored.
