This unit also had a damaged connector that we tried to repair on Friday last week, but we were not able to get it to work. Most likely the connector repair process was not successful due to some other vital component being damaged. Usually, for unsuccessful connector procedures on Sandisk and other common flash drives that we have in our inventory, we would locate a donor flash drive that has identical controller, PCB layout and capacity. No Nane flash drive with only the NAND swap - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_catJb73LI8 However, in this case we did not have a complete match, but we did have a unit that had identical PCB layout but a 16GB version instead of 8GB and a different controller part number. For data recovery process we chose to swap over controller and NAND chip from a failed PCB to a working donor. In this video you will see exactly what we did to recover data from this USB drive that was not showing up when plugged in originally, and after connector repair. This case was done for Make a Wish Foundation, and we really tried to do everything we can to make this recover process a success.   2. how did you conclude that the controller and chip is fine and just swapping it to Compatible PCB board will do the job ?? why you didn't suspect the controller or ship may cause the problem ?

  10. Hey Erkin just a tip for your Microscope Camera with a wider viewing field.

  13. my micro sd memory card is physically damaged, and unable to read. it's just a little crack. will it be repair?
  14. How do you know which way the chip is supposed to sit when soldering it on a new circuit board? I know of the circle in one of the corners, but are there also a circle on the circuit board?

    And how do you know if a controller is fried or not? I have a usb stick here where the only thing that pops up when pluging it in is the name of the controller. It just died suddenly.

  16. hi i have a serious question :) i have a western digital green power internal hdd 3.5 250gb. it has data on it that i wanna obtain. I have a desktop that runs windows xp. i hooked.it up as an external hdd and as my computer starts to recognize the hard drive my computer gets a.blue screen or my computer will freeze ? Is there any way i could get.the data thx :)

  18. A recovery services in my country said the memory component was broken, my computer do recognized the usb as 'IS917'. They say i cannot fix it by myself and the reparation is going up to 500 dollar. Is there a possibility that i can fix this at home?
  19. why didnt you just remove the nand and read it with the reader that you use? isnt what you did more hard than the solution i recomend?
