  1. Simple solution; switch away from Yahoo, and AOL for the matter. Either of those two companies are not security centric at all, in fact they sacrifice security features just for the sake of usability. Switch to Gmail or Hotmail/Microsoft Office 365 mail, and take advantage of their security features like multi factor authentication. That little bit of inconvenience can save you time in the long run from cyber criminals taking over your account.
  2. About a month ago I got an email from Yahoo saying someone tried to log in from the Netherlands... I live in Ireland. I changed my password but keep getting emails from Yahoo saying someone tried to log in in Ireland. I have it set so no one can log in from unofficial apps. I'm not sure what else I can do. I haven't ever told anyone my password and no one has seen me enter it. I've had the account since 2013 and last month was the first time changing my password since.
  3. but when i try to log in it says secerity reasons and stuff what do i do
  4. how the hell do you change passwords?????????????????????????
  5. Can a breach be staged or simply claimed? How is 'proof' of a hack established? Does it still count as an intrusion from outside if it's your own sovereign government doing the hacking? -Just kidding.
  6. Hi Gilles, This could even be the work of the NSA or CIA looking at personal emails tracing and watching individuals. There just telling us its state sponsored how do they even know that? Many criminals and terrorist are probably using encrypted forms of communication so governments are breaking into unknown suspects email in order to watch the general public. There is definite back doors on SS7 signaling for listening and recording conversations. Thanks for the review.
  7. what do you think of drowssap as a secure pw? 😂
  8. shutdown Yahoo server and made them response , which Verizon just brought it. yes it truly shameful of companies that can't provide security which I be used less internet service
  9. This is highly irresponsible not to have shared this information before now. I am quite ticked off about this. I tried to get into my yahoo account which I rarely use today to change my password and I couldn't get in. It wouldn't accept my password that I had changed it to back in May, or my even my old password. I had to ask for verification by phone to actually get into my account. I changed my password again and disabled my security questions. Was that the right thing to do Gilles? It gave me the funny feeling that something wasn't right. I even checked my account activity and it didn't show anything but today's sign in information and the last time I changed my password. If I want to close my Yahoo account entirely how would I go about doing that?
  10. So, do you think that Verizon will back out of their deal with Yahoo??
  11. Before I had gmail, my first account was Yahoo. Thanks to you and MajorGeeks I have changed my password, though I'm thinking of closing my account.
  12. if yahoo refuses to announce what country hacked them it can only be one...Israel.
  13. I'm closing my yahoo account, so much spam.
  14. I think companies such as Yahoo should insist on full encryption of all data . and enforce 2 factor authentication .
  15. Have any advise or videos on how to make a unhackable password?????
  16. Oh crap!!!
