  3. Actually it's important to note that Raid 1 is not backup - it's redundancy.

  5. I use OneDrive for everything. It's so simple for the average person.
  6. I wonder if it's possible to pull out the 4 TB model (2 x 2 TB red drives) and replace them with 2 x 8 TB red drives, or if there's a cap on drive size you can use.

  10. Hey this might sound like a dumb question but I am new to backing up data... So when it automatically backs data up, I understand that it backs up new files that have been added, but does it also back up files that have changed since the last time they were backed up? for example a word document that changes when the changes are saved
  11. i use 2 drives and shut one down.. we only turn one on at a time . We fix computers online for a living and there is a virus out there that can take that and lock out the data on both drives at the same time.. so its a good thing you have but be careful make sure its off when your not using it..
  12. question can I access and mount this drive as a drive letter on a work PC (cannot install software)? If so, will this be secure?

To save some money I just setup file sharing with strict firewall rules....1)only specific local IP have access.2)any remote IP are blocked in case some one tries to NAT! 3)All outbound connections are blocked except 80,443 to prevent data extraction to c&c servers....no3 Applies to all computers,can't afford to have some content in other hands!
