Are files actually removed from your computer when you delete them? How do you make sure you remove them completely? 5. when I throw away my old computer I just get a sander and run it around the disk
  6. for those wondering.. this applies to phones. so if your some one that likes to sell there old phone before upgrading, make sure you delete all your photos then take as many photos of nothing as it takes to fill up your storage and then delete it all again.. for those who need more closure. do it as twice or more
  7. they got to hit their boss!!!! thats fuckin awesome

  9. 4:16 what the f is that in your eye?
  10. just buy a new hard drive and chuck the old one in a volcano. simple
  11. Kinda squalid, even if it was a tech quickie. Plus, these days, even a single-pass permanent deletion gets rid of all data beyond recovery, the Gutmann method (35 iterations of this process) is not neccesary unless you think your data is going to be analyzed by a magnetic force microscope, and if it's so worthy, physical destruction is a way better method anyway.

So in a nutshell, if your data is worth the use of a ridiculously expensive lab device to recover, just trash the drive altogether. For the rest of us, 1 pass does the trick.
  12. 4:20 blaze it!
  13. 0:25 Vbs and batch are mine :)
  14. Jared disliked this vid 165 times.
  15. Even if you destroy the drive the police can usually still get the data of it unless you split the drive into multiple pieces and spread them were no one would find them. Even if they have been set on fire or put in water they can still get the data. So if I needed to destroy a drive then I would split it into many pieces (tiny ones) then put them all in water, smash with hammer, set on fire then spread them all around in different places.
  16. linus got jumped lol
  17. there's a program that re construct the sectors in a drive that wipes it forever
