When using the Encrypted File System to encrypt files or folders one may want a recovery system in case the user's certificate is lost. Also this is a very useful system of computer admins who need to view the encrypted files of users based on corporate security policies. For this we need to create a recovery certificate and install it in the recovery agent Window. For more visit: http://www.windows10.ninja http://www.2012r2.com

  1. Hi I have tried it and it DOES NOT work.
    Here's what happened.

My windows 10 update got corrupted (for some reason)
-So I reformatted my main OS in drive C:
-I have another separate HDD drive in drive E: (That is encrypted with all my video / photo clients)
-After the reformat process, I was able to unlock the drive thru my bitlocker but it no longer allow me to view the image and videos I have. Just icons and no permission warnings.
  2. Hey Ninja Kind of got stuck after the step everything is done however i think i am missing a step as i still can not decrypt a file. Hope you get this message.
