Cant find downloaded files ? They are hiding in that elusive download folder

  7. Ive downloaded GIMP three times, it shows in programs where you uninstall etc, but cant find it anywhere else, and thatd oesnt allow me to open up the program or create a shortcut......its there so how do i get it open? Can fidn the download folder but nothing is in it!!
