"Refresh your PC without affecting your files" will just replace the basic Windows files with the original ones. So, in case any of your system files got corrupted they will be fixed. This option will not delete any of your documents, videos or photos, and it will not delete the apps installed from the Windows Store. Select "Get started", then select "Next" and wait until the process is complete. "Remove everything and reinstall Windows" is instead useful if you want to delete all of your information and files from the PC. The PC will be reset to its factory settings. Select "Get started" then select "Next" and wait until the process is complete.

My Linx 8 tablet had 'Limited' connection to my wifi even though all bars were at full strength so decided to perform a 'refresh' as above. I now have a blue screen with my name in tiny letters. Tablet is totally unresponsive. Can anyone help please?! If it was a phone I'd take the battery out and pout it back in but no idea what to do! Lol. Technology...can't live with it, can't live without it.

this doesn't work i've been trying to recovery windows 8 from 8.1 , after the automatic update to 8.1 my y580 freeze after reaching desktop , i hoping i can restore windows 8 and save my files like music and photos and other docs
