Yours Windows 8 crash. Do not have bootable partition on hard drie or DVD? No problem - just get USB drive clean the files and I will show how to make USB recovery. Link on MS website http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media If you have licence version of Windows 8 (8.1) you dont need to look for serial number, since it is no more on sticker on side it is printed on your motherboard, and imputed automatically, which is a good thing, less numbers to enter.
