Windows cannot install required files on Windows 7 error. This video was created to help you fix the Windows cannot install required files error on windows 7 or any OS before you purchase a new hard drive. **** If after removing one of the memory stick or replacing the memory if you only have one installed. If you still get a windows error you might need to replace the hard drive. Also, in some cases the dvd might be bad as well. try another one or create a bootable USB drive.

  8. Hi Indemand:

I want to thank you very much for saving the day.  I have been trying to install Windows 7 32-bit on a Dell Latitude D510 for over a week.  I have tried several different DVD drives and several installation disks.  I even had several different disks cleaned by a video shop.  Nothing worked.  I kept getting one error or another.  I even installed Windows on a USB drive and tried installing it.  That failed also.  I am very grateful that Google led me to you.  I had some additional memory laying around, so I changed it out.  Lo and behold, Windows installed without a hitch.  If it had not been for you, I do not know what my next move was going to be.  I thank you and want to send you a gift in my appreciation for helping me.  Please contact me at the following address:  alfredburn@Hotmail.com

    Thanks a million.

  10. Sir You saved my Life .. Otherwise i was going nuts and was gonna burn the desktop..
  11. This error could be something else. i had the same error and it was my bios.
Try resetting your cmos first before changing your ram.
    Option 1:
    - Enter Bios (f2) and find the option to reset bios.
    - Restart and re install
Option 2: Open case and remove the bios battery for a few minutes.
    - Restart and re install.

If this doesn't work, follow this video

  12. So THE only thing i neem to do is get out 1 of the ram sticks,?
  13. Great Tip indemmand!
I swap the memory sticks and everything works smooth as it always should.
    Thanks a lot indemmand.
  14. I have a Hackintosh which ran both Mac OSX and Win 8. The HDD holding Win 8.1 died so I replaced it with a brand new one.  Disconnected all HDD to avoid any potential confusion (and so I could just reconnect everything after installing Win 8 and updating to 8.1 then still get my dual boot).  But as tried to install Win 8 (with DVD), it indeed gave me that message.

Now, how would you explain that Mac OSX count, see and appear to use my 8GB and this Windows install would fail because there would be failed memory ??...
  15. this one did not work for me
