Have you inadvertently deleted the Recycle Bin on your Windows® XP PC? Here is how you can recover it. In 'Regedit', navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace" and create {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}. Change the value of 'Default' to "Recycle Bin". If you need help with any tech issues, feel free to call iYogi at 1-877-524-9644 if you are calling from the US or Canada. If there aren’t a lot of files in the Recycle Bin, you can simply open it in Windows Explorer to check the amount of space taken up by individual files. Another way is to check the properties of ‘C:\Recycler’. Although it will never show 0 KB even when the Recycle Bin is empty, it gives you a fair idea about how much space the files in it occupy. To check the Recycle Bin contents through the Recycler folder, you’ll need to enable ‘protected operating system files’ view in Folder Options.
