Our privacy was compromised when a hacker got our sim card Note: The t-mobile rep that originally called us was NOT the hacker, he called to set up the passcode as confirmed by t-mobile. I also asked the guy to confirm his ID before we set up the passcode. Also the passcode did not exist before the call, so if it was the hacker, he would also have to set up the code. Anyway, t-mobile confirmed the call was real. HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF: 1. BUY A USB PASS KEY (Look up Yubikey) 2. SET UP GOOGLE AUTHENTICATION APP https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/1066447?hl=en Watch the Reaction Video Playlist --► https://goo.gl/QUHWA6 NYT article: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/29/magazine/the-serial-swatter.html Go check out HayliNic https://www.twitch.tv/haylinic https://www.youtube.com/user/haylinicTV Facebook................►https://facebook.com/H3h3productions Twitter......................►https://twitter.com/h3h3productions Instagram................►http://instagram.com/h3h3productions 2nd channel.............►https://youtube.com/user/h2h2productions Spreadshirt...............►http://h3h3productions.spreadshirt.com Hila's Art....................►http://hilaklein.com Subreddit..................►http://reddit.com/r/h3h3productions -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***ULTIMATE DUNNIE GIVEAWAY RULES*** Every month, we give away one unique, beautiful and luscious dunnie. 1. When the attacks happend I was lucky because I didn't get hacked
  2. In the phone lady's defense, she had nothing to do with any of the security breaches. She's just the person who takes calls from people who are pissed off. She puts up that fake happiness defense wall because 9 out of 10 people calling are going to scream at her for something that she didn't have any part in. I agree that she was way too fake, though. She should have just leveled with you and been like, "That's scary. I'm really sorry about this. I'm going to do everything I can to a stop this from happening again. This is ridiculous that this happened to you twice in 24 hours." But, as a receptionist myself, you get yelled at so much for other people's mistakes and after spending 10 minutes vigorously trying to help them and let them know what's going on, they just roll their eyes, mumble an insult about you and walk away even more pissed off than before you started talking to them. That slowly makes you start to lose your desire to explain everything to the customer and reassure them. Pretty soon, you're just saying the lines that your boss told you to say and trying to get through the workday. It sucks, honestly.
  3. digital rape
  4. Hahahaha that end bit is hilarious
  5. If we're being honest here, T-Mobile should have had a class-action lawsuit against them about 5 years ago
  6. 2017? Anyone?
  7. Ethan, I agree with everything you say and feel you bro. But the SIM card is just one part of the story. It's called "two-factor" because there are two authentication mechanisms which are assumed to be independent. The other one, of course, is the password. How did they get access to it? Believe me, they did NOT get it by hacking into Google. Because the way passwords are stored nowadays by security-aware companies (and I would count Google into that category...), it is computationally IMPOSSIBLE to recover your actual password from the hacked data. I won't go into the details here.
Your password was either too weak, or stored improperly. What people like to do, for example, is to store their passwords as contact information on their phones. Which can end up on your SIM card or on any service that has access to your contacts. It could be stored unencrypted on your computer, and you've entered an insecure network at some point. There are countless ways people can get to your passwords. As a public figure, you have high security requirements and need to do your homework about password generation and storage.
So don't blame it all on the SIM bro.. It's only half of the problem. ;-)
  8. My work gives all employees access to every current and previous customers' name, age, drivers license info, email, phone number, and home address. All you have to do is use the service once and you're in the system forever - and as a major corporation a bunch of people use it. Millions.
  9. sue the fuck out of them
  10. I couldn't stop looking at his eyebrows twitch
  11. How did he get your passcode then???
  12. Has anyone else had this problem, I keep liking all the videos I watch. I think the video is worth a second view and I have to like it again? Should I just watch the same video and keep liking once a week to get your channel jacked up! I'll do it bro let's make some money$$!
  13. Anyone else think it's weird that Matt Hoss ramped up his lawsuit against Ethan and Hila RIGHT after they release this video talking about suing T-Mobile?
  14. That's why I don't use internet.
  15. did you think of they impersonating to be a the tmobile staff
the step with the extra security
  16. The next watch dogs game is gonna be about trying to impersonate a t-mobile employee
  17. Wonder if TMobile lost 3.5 million subscribers...
  18. Wow I love this episode of Mr.Robot! Keep it up!
  19. Do it
  20. I wouldn't say this is hacking. This is caused by multiple failures on T-Mobile's part. Without these ridiculous lack of security, they would actually have to hack to get anything. You can't blame people for taking advantage of these, you blame the carrier for having these options wide open.

That hacking through HTML was pretty funny.
